ABOUT US
The Provincial Vysya Education Fund was established in April 1948, just 8 months after India got independence. It was registered at Ballari under Societies Registration Act XXI of1860 as No.5 of 1948. The jurisdiction of the fund is the whole of South India consisting of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu & Kerala.
Our Mission & Vision
To develop an Education Fund with a view to help the less fortunate and deserving section of Vysya community students to prosecute their education.
- To help poor and deserving students of Vysya Community to meet their education expenditure by rendering financial help by way of interest free LOAN SCHOLARSHIPS to be repaid after completion of their degree & having settled in life.
- To honor Vysya Community Students who obtain highest marks in the final year examination by giving a Medal. One student for each faculty (Medicine, Engineering & Agriculture studies).
- To sanction FREE SCHOLARSHIPS for students who are studying 5th Std to S.S.L.C.
Our Beliefs & Values
To Start and run colleges to impart Technical Education and Commerce and to undertake to manage or help financing such college managed by the Vysya Community.
To Start and run Boarding and Lodging Hostels for Vysya Students and to help financially for construction of such hostels, under the management of Vysya community.

In the year 1947, When the entire Nation was rejoicing the achievement of INDEPENDENCE on the midnight of the 15th August, 1947, this Institution was established on the 30th November, 1947.
On 28th March 1948, Under the Presidentship of Sri. N.S. Guptha, Income-tax Practioner, Kurnool a resolution to start and develop an institution to render financial help to the poor and deserving students of Medicin, and Engineering of our community was passed. The work of framing the Articles of the Association and the rules was completed at meeting held on 28-03-1948 in Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Devi Temple, Ballary and the same was got registered under the SOCIETIES REGISTRATION ACT XXI of 1860 as No.5 of 1948 by Additional Registrar of joint Stock Companies, Ballari.
Our Founders & Leadership
The PVEF is the tangible fruit of the labour of the noble and good fore-runners of our community. They Late D.L.Chetty & Late D.L.G. Chetty has the divine insight and wisdom and established this FUND to help the poor and intelligent Vysya Boys and Girls in Schools and Colleges, particularly in technical Schools and Colleges. Jurisdiction extended to whole of South India. Their names will go down to posterity and will be written in Letters of GOLD.
Sree Dasa Lakshminarayana Chetty Popularly known as D.L. Chetty of Ballari. He was a pious and a religious person with unflinching faith in God and was actively associated with many religious organisations and had respect for all religions.

Sree Dasa Gangadhar Chetty Popularly known as D.L.G. Chetty of Hindupur. He had wonderful energy to serve humanity-specially the poor Vysya students of intellect. He Served as the Revenue Officer of Hindupur Muncipality. He Spared none and called a Spade.
He had to face adverse circumstances even after graduation. Even, as a poor student, by virtue of his patriotism, he could enlist the sympathy and admiration of his lecturers. They found in him, about immense capacity to compose poems and write Telugu in a fine style.
He Strived had in getting donations to the P.V.E. Fund and toured extensively in Andhra Pradesh, entirely at his own cost and helped the institution to grow.
